Story
Today I was talking to my colleague about karma and prayers. I said we don't have to pray to god for something , because if something is bound to happen with us , it will happen , be it good or bad , it will happen irrespective of whether we pray or not , this is called destiny . I said don't expect he will listen to you and fulfill your wish , because it does not happen . In a way I feel that the more you pray , the more is your faith towards him and you expect your wishes to be fulfilled, so it all comes in a circle . He told me a simple story about a small boy , who is sick . This boy is walking with his father , on the way he finds an ice cream vendor , he asks for ice cream from his father . His father does not listen to him , and says no to him . In spite of the small boy's insistence , his father does not get him ice cream, because he knows what is best for his son. We all are playing the boy's role , and father is the almighty . The moral is " he knows what is best for us ". To conclude I can say that don't pray , but always remember that " whatever happens , happens for good " ........but at times I feel this an escapist attitude ,because when you accept this , then you accept defeat also , and when you accept defeat you don't try ...........

wow! good story. but tell me wats d harm in accepting defeat. accepting defeat requires a lot of guts, only those who are brave can accept that. when u accept defeat, that acceptance gives u more strength to do the things with a fresh & renewed zeal. When Thomas Elva Edison was asked wat he has to say about faling 100 times in inventing Light bulbs. He said that , he has not failed but found 100 ways by which a light bulb can not be invented. Keep this in mind.
I wrote all this because i'm great beleiver in " whatever happens, happens for the best. "
